Where Codex differs from Claude Code.
No questions
Codex has no question tool, so its only prompts are approvals. There is nothing to answer besides yes or no.
No joining live terminals
A Codex session you started in your own terminal cannot be joined from the phone. Start it from Brocoded, or continue the conversation from the phone later.
Same safety model
End-to-end encrypted, no open ports on your computer, and you can remove a phone any time from Devices.
Quick answers.
Does Brocoded work with the Codex CLI?
Yes. Brocoded supports the Codex command-line tool. Start codex normally and Brocoded adds approvals for a run it starts.
Can I answer questions from my phone?
Codex has no question tool, so the only prompts it shows are approvals. You approve or deny them from the Inbox.
Can I join a Codex session I started in my terminal?
Not yet. You can continue an earlier Codex conversation in the same folder from the phone, but joining a live terminal session is only available for Claude Code.
Can I approve from my phone and my computer?
Yes. Both show the request, the first answer wins and the other side is told.
