Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Brocoded: the website, the phone app, the computer app and the relay that connects them. Last updated .

The short version

  • Your agents run on your computer. Brocoded lets you watch and steer them from your phone. What they do, and what you approve, is your responsibility.
  • Your work stays yours. It is end-to-end encrypted between your devices. We can’t read it and claim no rights to it.
  • Use it fairly. Don’t attack the service, abuse the relay or use Brocoded to break the law.
  • It’s early access. There is no charge right now. Things may change, break or stop, and the service comes without guarantees.

Who we are

Brocoded is built and run by Aditya Yadav, an individual based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Aditya Yadav, and “you” means the person or organisation using Brocoded.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, installing or using Brocoded, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Brocoded.

If you use Brocoded for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher age your country sets for using online services without a parent’s consent.

What Brocoded does

Brocoded connects AI coding agents and terminal sessions on your computer to your phone. From your phone you can read their output, answer their questions, approve or deny what they want to run, start sessions and send the next task.

The computer app runs on your own machine. Your phone talks to it through our relay over an encrypted connection set up when you pair the two devices. Brocoded is a remote control: it does not run agents in the cloud and does not provide the AI models themselves.

Your account and devices

  • An account is optional. You can use Brocoded as a guest, with some limits, or sign in with Google to link several computers.
  • Keep your devices safe. Anyone holding a paired phone can control the sessions on the computers it is paired with. Lock your phone, and remove a device straight away if it is lost or you no longer trust it.
  • Pairing codes are secret. Only scan or share a pairing code with a device you control.
  • You’re responsible for activity on your account and from your paired devices, unless it happened because of a failure on our side.

Your computer and your agents

Brocoded passes your instructions and approvals to the programs running on your computer. Those programs can read and change files, run commands and reach the network, with the permissions of your user account.

  • You decide what runs. You are responsible for the commands you send, the actions you approve, and any approval rules you set up. Read a request before you allow it.
  • Keep backups and use version control. An agent can make mistakes, and a change made from your phone is as real as one made at your desk.
  • Other tools have their own terms. Agents such as Claude Code, Codex and others are made by other companies. Your use of them, and of any account, subscription or API key they need, is governed by their terms, not ours.
  • Only connect computers you’re allowed to control. Don’t pair Brocoded with a machine you don’t own or have permission to use.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • break the law, or use Brocoded to harm, defraud or harass anyone;
  • access computers, accounts or data without permission;
  • attack, overload, probe or disrupt the relay or our other services, or get around rate limits and fair-use limits;
  • use the relay as a general tunnel or proxy for traffic that isn’t a Brocoded session;
  • create accounts in bulk, or share or resell access to the service;
  • spread malware, or use Brocoded to control machines without their owner knowing.

Security research is welcome. If you find a vulnerability, please tell us at the address below before making it public, and don’t access other people’s data while testing.

Early access and pricing

Brocoded is in early access and there is no charge to use it. Features may change, appear or go away while we build it.

We apply fair-use limits, such as a daily number of connections, to keep the relay working for everyone. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll say so on the website and in the app before any charge applies, and you’ll choose whether to pay. Nothing you already use will start costing money without you agreeing to it.

Your content

Your code, terminal output, commands, files and conversations belong to you. They are end-to-end encrypted between your phone and your computer, and our relay cannot read them. We claim no ownership of them and need no licence to them.

If you send us a problem report or feedback, you let us use it to improve Brocoded. Please don’t include passwords, keys or private code in it.

Our software

Brocoded, including its apps, relay, website, code and design, is built and owned by us. All rights not given to you in these terms are kept by us.

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and use the Brocoded apps for as long as you follow these terms. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the apps, build a competing service from them, or decompile or reverse engineer them, except where the law allows it despite this limit. Open-source components inside Brocoded remain under their own licences.

The Brocoded name, logo and mascot are ours. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we didn’t.

The apps may update themselves or ask you to update. Older versions may stop connecting to the relay once a newer one is out.

Ending your use

  • You can stop at any time. Uninstall the apps, remove your devices, or delete your account in the app under You, Delete account.
  • We may suspend or close access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Unless there is an urgent risk or a legal reason not to, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
  • We may end the service. If we shut Brocoded down, we’ll give notice on the website where we can. Your sessions and files stay on your own computer either way.

No warranty

Brocoded is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure in every case, that alerts will always arrive, or that it fits any particular purpose.

We work hard on security, and your sessions are end-to-end encrypted, but no software is free of bugs. Don’t rely on Brocoded as the only way to reach or stop something critical.

Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, code, profits or business, arising from your use of Brocoded. That includes changes made by an agent you ran or approved, and outages of the relay or of third-party services.

Because Brocoded is free during early access, our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to ₹5,000 (five thousand Indian rupees). If we introduce paid plans, the limit becomes the larger of ₹5,000 and what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These limits don’t apply to loss caused by our fraud or wilful misconduct, and nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that can’t be excluded by contract.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using Brocoded, or because of what you ran or approved on a computer you weren’t allowed to control, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in handling it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please write to us or the Grievance Officer first, and we’ll try to sort it out within 30 days.

If we can’t, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or Brocoded. This doesn’t stop you from going to a consumer commission or other forum the law lets you use where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Brocoded changes. We’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so in the app or on the home page at least 15 days before it takes effect, unless it is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using Brocoded after that, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Brocoded and delete your account.

General

  • Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Brocoded.
  • If a part doesn’t hold. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Transfer. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them to a company we set up to run Brocoded, or to whoever takes Brocoded over, and we’ll tell you if that happens. Your rights under these terms stay the same.
  • What continues. The sections on your content, our software, no warranty, limits of liability, your responsibility to us, and governing law continue after you stop using Brocoded.
